After the Mahagathbandhan’s heavy defeat in the Bihar elections, Opposition Leader Tejashwi Yadav, who had gone abroad, returned to Patna today. Speaking to the media at Patna airport, Tejashwi said he would not raise any questions about the new government’s functioning for the first 100 days. He added that this period would be used to observe positive politics and review the government’s promises.
Tejashwi Yadav said, “First, we will observe the new government’s work over the next 100 days. During this time, we will not comment on their policies or decisions. We are committed to positive politics. Only after 100 days will we make any statements regarding the government.”
Targeting the new government, he said, “The people of the country and the state know under what conspiracy the new government secured victory in this election. This is a victory of machinery and money power, not of democracy.”
The opposition leader also noted that the government had promised to establish four to five industries in every district, provide ₹2 lakh to women, and create employment for one crore youth. “We will first see how many of these promises are fulfilled, and only then will we comment,” he added.
Tejashwi Yadav’s return could bring a new dimension to Bihar’s political landscape. All eyes will now be on the ruling party leaders’ reaction to his statements. He clearly stated that the new government, formed through the power of machinery and money, would be reviewed only after 100 days, which could add fresh heat to the political atmosphere.
