Nitish Kumar Pays Tribute to Father in Ancestral Village Kalyan Bigha, Nishant’s Entry into Politics Comes into Focus

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited his ancestral village Kalyan Bigha on Saturday for the first time after taking oath as Chief Minister for the tenth term. During the visit, he paid floral tribute at the memorial garden on the 48th death anniversary of his father, Kaviraj Ramlakhan Singh.

The tribute ceremony was attended by his elder brother Satish Kumar, son Nishant Kumar, and other family members. The Chief Minister stood in silence for a few moments to remember his father, after which he performed prayers at the village Devi Temple and fed fish at the local pond.

Strict security arrangements were made for the Chief Minister’s visit. A grand welcome arch was erected at the main entrance, displaying the message in large letters: “Voice of the People, Bhai Nishant”, which attracted widespread attention.

On this occasion, Satish Kumar suggested that his nephew Nishant Kumar should consider entering politics. He stated that Nishant does not need any special preparation to step into political life, and there would be no objection from the family. He added, “Nishant can start his political journey whenever he wishes, whether as a minister or legislator, but he should be actively involved in politics.”

The Chief Minister’s visit was not limited to a family tribute. He interacted with villagers, listened to their concerns, and directed the local administration to expedite development and improve basic amenities in the village.

The visit highlighted Nitish Kumar’s connection to his roots and sensitivity towards his native village. Villagers noted that development in Kalyan Bigha has progressed faster compared to other villages, and they hope that the Chief Minister continues to retain public support.
