On the occasion of International Women’s Day and its own foundation day, The ShED-Forum organized a special online program titled “Unlocking Brighter Futures for Women: Education’s Power to Empower Backward Communities.”

Professor Mujibur Rahman of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, serving as the chief guest, emphasized that education is the most effective tool for empowering women and bringing positive change in backward communities. He underlined that education remains the cornerstone of social empowerment.

The program featured insightful discussions from Dr. Jahangir Alam (B.N. Mandal University), Dr. Saleem Akhtar (Patna University), and Parvez Alam (Block Supply Officer) on women’s education, digital literacy, and employment opportunities. Meanwhile, Hazra Parveen (Amity University, Mumbai), Fauzia Tabassum (MBBS, J.L.N.M College, Bhagalpur), Raunaque Perveen (The Citizen Post), and Tauhida Khatoon shared their perspectives on women’s rights, education, and social awareness.

Sabnawaz Ahmed, representative and program coordinator of the ShED-Forum, highlighted the organization’s mission to extend awareness and opportunities to the backward regions of Seemanchal through education. He stated that over the past eight years, the organization has successfully connected students from Seemanchal with six central universities across India.

Ahmed further announced that a new ShED-Forum unit will soon be established at Patna University, enabling wider outreach and grassroots-level educational awareness. He noted that increasing literacy in the Seemanchal region is a top priority, and the organization plans to conduct various educational and awareness initiatives in the future.

The organization continues to run grassroots programs, including educational awareness campaigns, free coaching, and career guidance, aiming to provide students with better educational and professional opportunities.

Key members of the organizing team, Mohammad Aslam, Iftekharul Islam, and Shoaib Malik Azad, played crucial roles in ensuring the program’s success. The event concluded with heartfelt thanks to all guests, speakers, and participants, reaffirming the organization’s commitment to conducting future programs focused on social awareness and empowerment.
