Rohini Acharya Criticizes Tejashwi Yadav’s Review Meeting: ‘Tackle the Vultures First, Stop the Show’

After being absent from the political scene for a long period following the Bihar Assembly elections 2025 defeat, opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav was seen active again today. He held a review meeting at the party’s state office in Patna with RJD MPs to assess the party’s performance and discuss future strategies. The meeting was attended by Tejashwi’s sister Misa Bharti, Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Yadav, and several Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs.

However, Tejashwi’s review meeting drew sharp criticism from his sister and former RJD candidate Rohini Acharya, who labeled it on social media as mere “showmanship.” Rohini stated that before conducting any review, Tejashwi should have displayed the courage to take action against the “vultures” surrounding him.

She wrote, “Self-accountability and taking responsibility are more important than pretending to conduct a review. Only after dealing with the identified vultures entrenched around you can any review claim credibility.”

In the elections, Rashtriya Janata Dal managed to win just 25 out of the 243 Assembly seats, contesting on 144 seats. This is being seen as the party’s worst performance since the 2010 elections.

Rohini Acharya had already expressed dissatisfaction within the party before the elections. While she campaigned, she has been vocal after the defeat. On November 15, she announced her decision to quit politics and sever ties with the family, holding Tejashwi’s aides Sanjay Yadav and Rameez responsible for the wrongs done to her.
