Senior Janata Dal (United) leader Sanjay Kumar Jha has clarified that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will not be going to Delhi. Jha stated that the notion that the Chief Minister is distancing himself from the state is completely incorrect.Speaking to the media, Sanjay Jha said, “Nitish Kumar will have to go to Delhi temporarily when the parliamentary session is on, but apart from that, he will stay in Patna and continue to oversee the state government. He will bring a lot for Bihar from the Centre.”He added that Nitish Kumar’s election to the Rajya Sabha does not in any way indicate a detachment from state politics. “Many believe that after going to the Rajya Sabha, Nitish Kumar will stay away from Bihar, but that is not the case. He will continue to guide the government from Patna.”Political analysts say the statement is an effort to quell speculations both inside and outside the JD(U). Issued amidst the nominations for the Rajya Sabha, it clarifies that the Chief Minister will remain active in his administrative and political responsibilities. In short, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will remain in Patna to monitor the government and will visit Delhi temporarily only during parliamentary sessions.
