Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated and laid the foundation for projects worth over ₹13,000 crore in the election year.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has taken another significant step towards the state’s development today. He laid the foundation and inaugurated projects worth over ₹13,000 crore, covering key initiatives in road construction, urban development, housing, and the animal and fisheries resources departments.

The Chief Minister inaugurated several major projects under the Road Construction Department, including:

Expansion of the 35.65 km-long JP Ganga Path project in Patna district at a cost of ₹6,495 crore.

Construction of a high-level bridge on the 21.3 km-long Hathauri-Andharai Path in Muzaffarpur at ₹814 crore.

Construction of the 72.18 km-long Chhapra-Manjhi-Darauli-Guthni Path in Chhapra-Siwan at ₹701 crore.

Development of the 58.47 km-long Dhoraia-English Mod Path in Banka-Munger-Bhagalpur at ₹650 crore.

Construction of the 32.6 km-long Ara-Ekauna-Khaira-Sahar Path in Bhojpur at ₹373 crore.

Under the Urban Development and Housing Department, the Chief Minister launched 1,300 projects under the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Urban Development Scheme, with a total investment of ₹769.64 crore. Additionally, a ₹124 crore road rehabilitation project and a ₹69.97 crore waste transfer station will commence in the Patna Municipal Corporation area. Facilities worth ₹15 crore were also inaugurated at the Maurya Lok Complex in Patna Smart City.

In the Animal and Fisheries Resources Department, 13 buildings were inaugurated at Bihar Animal Science University at a cost of ₹143 crore. Furthermore, state and district-level resource centers and veterinary hospitals linked to 27 projects were inaugurated at a cost of ₹116.52 crore. An additional 25 projects, including veterinary hospitals, training centers, and the administrative building of the Bihar Veterinary Council, were laid with an investment of ₹246.06 crore.

Under COMFED, projects worth ₹279.14 crore, including a dairy milk powder and curd plant and a central integrated control center in Patna, were inaugurated. A ₹7.07 crore artificial insemination training center and milk production plant in Purnia, a training center in Gaya, and five fish markets in Kishanganj, Banka, and Purnia costing ₹1.06 crore were also inaugurated. Additionally, fish markets and infrastructure projects in 11 districts were launched with an investment of ₹44 crore.

In the election year, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is actively engaged in advancing the state’s development. On Sunday, he inaugurated the world-class Science City, a ₹900 crore project. The event today was attended by both Deputy Chief Ministers of Bihar and all ministers and officials of the relevant departments.

These projects are expected to bring significant improvements in traffic, urban development, and animal-fisheries resources across Bihar. The Chief Minister’s initiatives will not only strengthen infrastructure but also boost employment generation and economic growth. Nitish Kumar’s efforts mark a crucial step towards taking Bihar’s development to new heights.
