Indian Air Force’s Sumit Kumar and Navy’s Adarsh Kumar Arrested for Alleged Espionage for ISI

In a major security operation, Indian intelligence agencies have arrested Indian Air Force staff member Sumit Kumar and Indian Navy Lance Naik Adarsh Kumar on charges of allegedly spying for Pakistan’s intelligence agency, the ISI. Considering the matter a serious threat to national security, investigative agencies have launched a comprehensive probe.Preliminary investigations reveal that both accused maintained contact through foreign phone numbers and suspicious social media accounts. Agencies suspect that they may have been lured through honey traps and financial incentives.Sources indicate that the accused may have shared sensitive information regarding military bases, deployments, and operational activities. However, authorities have not yet confirmed any significant strategic losses.Investigators are also scrutinizing the accused’s bank accounts and digital transactions. Early reports suggest minor payments and gift vouchers received from foreign sources.Security experts warn that the case may not be limited to just two individuals and could involve a larger, organized espionage network. Agencies are working continuously to uncover the full extent of this network.Defense establishments have tightened security protocols, and personnel have been instructed to exercise caution regarding unknown contacts and social media interactions. Government sources stated, “National security is paramount, and strict action will be taken against the guilty.”
