Show of Strength by Chandrashekhar Azad in Aurai Assembly — A Sea of People Turns Out in Support of Aftab Alam at Pahsaul and Matihani

Muzaffarpur district’s Aurai Assembly constituency witnessed a historic scene today as a massive crowd gathered under the leadership of Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) national president and Member of Parliament Chandrashekhar Azad.

In support of Aftab Alam, the party’s candidate from Aurai, two massive rallies — one at Pahsaul Bazaar and another at Matihani High School Ground — drew over 30,000 people from Dalit, Muslim, and Other Backward Class communities, signaling a major shift in the political atmosphere of the region.

Addressing the gatherings, Chandrashekhar Azad launched a sharp attack on the existing system. He said “It has been decades since India gained independence, yet we continue to live in false freedom. Dalits are still beaten for entering temples, prevented from riding horses in wedding processions, and even five-year-old girls face horrific violence. There’s a constant conspiracy to keep us politically and economically weak. But now, society has awakened — and under the banners of Bhim Army and Azad Samaj Party, we are fighting for our full rights.”

Emphasizing the importance of Dalit–Muslim unity, Azad added “Just as the Muslim community stood shoulder to shoulder with Dalits in Nagina, sending me to Parliament, the soil of Bihar is now ready to rewrite history. From Aurai must rise the message that when Dalits and Muslims unite, the walls of power tremble.
Electing Aftab Alam will mark the beginning of a new kind of politics — one that stands for dignity, security, and development, not hate and division.”

State president Jauhar Azad and Bhim Army Bihar president Amar Jyoti also addressed the crowd, saying “For years, the voices of Dalits and Muslims in Bihar have been pushed to the margins. Now is the time for these oppressed groups to assert their political strength.
Aftab Alam has consistently stood up against bulldozer actions on Dalit settlements, atrocities against Dalit girls, and encroachments on Muslim graveyards. Sending such a dedicated, people-centered leader to the Assembly is the real path to change.”

In an impassioned speech, Bhim Army national general secretary Kamal Singh Walia said “I’ve been in Aurai for several days and have seen with my own eyes the growing wave of awareness among the people. The awakening of Dalit consciousness and Muslim unity is about to write a new chapter in history.
We are winning this seat — now all that remains is to reach every home and every lane, and give our all till the evening of November 6.”

Taking the stage, Aftab Alam addressed the crowd emotionally “The issues I raised during the 2020 election have remained my agenda for the past five years. I’ve continued to fight on the ground — whether for Dalits, Muslims, Yadavs, or other backward communities — against every injustice.
If I ever fell short, I ask for your forgiveness. But today, I promise that once I reach the Assembly, I will fearlessly fight for your rights.”

The event was also addressed by ASP state secretary Sharafuddin Qasmi, district president Ram Naresh Paswan, and several senior leaders, all of whom appealed to the people to ensure Aftab Alam’s victory and help lay the foundation for a new era of people’s politics in Bihar.
