BPSC 70th Mains: 5,401 Candidates Invited for Interview Starting January 21

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has invited 5,401 candidates who successfully cleared the 70th Combined Main Examination to appear for the interview round. The commission has issued an official notification regarding the process, which is scheduled to begin on January 21, 2026.

The commission has urged candidates to regularly check the official BPSC website for detailed information related to the interview and avoid relying on rumors.

The main examination was conducted from April 25 to April 30, 2025, across 32 centers in Patna. Out of a total of 20,034 candidates who appeared, 5,401 candidates were declared successful. The interview will carry 120 marks, with 10 to 20 candidates being called each day.

A total of 2,035 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment process. The final merit list will be prepared based on 900 marks of the main examination and 120 marks of the interview, totaling 1,020 marks. In case of a tie, candidates with higher marks will be placed higher in the merit list. Results will be released according to the reservation categories.

The 70th preliminary exam was conducted on December 13, 2023, with approximately 483,000 applicants. The exam took place across 912 centers, with 328,990 candidates appearing. Due to disturbances at the Bapu Examination Complex, exams at certain centers were canceled and subsequently held on January 4, 2025, across 22 centers, where 5,900 out of 12,000 candidates appeared. The prelims result was declared on January 24, 2025, with a total of 21,581 candidates qualifying for the main examination.
