Deepika’s first production venture came with Chhapaak (2020), a drama by Meghna Gulzar, in which she starred as an acid attack survivor (based on Laxmi Agarwal), that came into the controversy of JNU and people Boycotted this only because she went JNU. The struggle of an acid attack survivor was nothing for the Indian ordinance.

Recently, A song from Pathaan has been released “Besharam Rang” starring Shahrukh khan and Deepika Padukone. The saffron two-piece worn by the lead has angered fringe right-wing groups which claim that it has hurt religious sentiments and have called for a boycott of the film. It easily understood that the Bikini in Bhagwa doesn’t hurt the sentiments of Hindu religion but an agenda of right-wing to target the movie. Boycott Bollywood trend goes after releasing of every movie. Boycott trend is being a daily spectacle of people which removes the seriousness of any particular issue.
