State committee of Human rights organization NCHRO Assam State formed

09 April 2021. As a part of the ongoing formation of States committees of the National Confederation of Human Rights Organizations (NCHRO), a nationwide human rights organization, Assam committee of the organization is announced today through a meeting on the Zoom platform. Newly appointed general secretary Advocate Shaiz uddin Ahmed informed in a press release mr.Biljeet Narzary Nominated as the state president of the organization and Adv.Shaiz uddin Ahmed nominated as the State General Secretary. Other officials include , Mubarak Hussain Jahnavi Barua, Chinky Deka as State Vice-President, Rubul Pathak,Vijay Bajaj and Meraj Ahmed as State Secretary and Mijanur Rahman sheik as Treasurer. Apart from this, other members of the state committee were also nominated, including Kamal Barman,Satyajit Deka,Moniram Terang,Serlibon Timongpi,Jayhind Englang, Hirmelin Beypi,Jotika Deka,Rafiqul Islam,Hasan Mehdi,Abu Taher,Faruk Hussain,Masud zaman, shahidul Haque, Atikur Rhman, ,Ashak Hussain, Manisha,Elias Ahmed,Noor kamal, Shafiul Hasan Jhon Ahmed,and Ashim .The meeting also featured the famous rights activist and journalist Ashish Gupta lecture on the topic of ‘Political prisoners and use of UAPA’, in which he mainly highlighted how false cases are framed against social activists and eminent persons in today’s fascist scenario due to political vendetta. They are being put in prisons and they are being denied basic human rights. In the meeting, National Executive Committee member Advocate Ansar Indori was also present.
