Prestigious Fellowship to MANUU Faculty Meraj Ahmed Mubarki

Hyderabad(Press Release) Dr. Meraj Ahmed Mubarki, Assistant Professor, Department of Mass Communication & Journalism, Maulana Azad National Urdu University has been selected for the Research Fellowship Project by the prestigious National Film Archives of India, Pune. His research project ‘Film Censorship in Colonial India 1920-1928’ will study the colonial discourse on film censorship in Pre-Independence India. His book “Filming Horror: Hindi cinema, Ghosts and Ideologies” was published by Sage publications to much critical acclaim. His articles have been included in the reading list of the University of Sussex, United Kingdom; St. Paul’s University, Canada; the Central University of Gujarat, India and the University of California, Riverside, USA. MANUU Teaching fraternity has congratulated Dr. Meraj on his selection.
