Dani, Darbhanga: With the aim of connecting the younger generation with religious education, moral values and the Seerah (life and teachings) of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the Seva Educational and Charitable Trust, Dani (Darbhanga), organised the Islamic Quiz Competition 2026 (Season-3) along with a Jalsa-e-Paigham-e-Seerat. A large number of students and local residents participated in the programme.

According to a press release issued by the trust, social and community worker Mufti Muhammad Abdullah Nadwi, Advocate, and his team played a key role in organising the event. The organisers said the competition was aimed at developing students’ interest in religious and moral knowledge and familiarising them with the Seerah-e-Tayyaba and Islamic teachings.

Competition Held at Seven Centres

The Islamic Quiz Competition was conducted on September 2, 2026, at seven different centres in Darbhanga and surrounding areas. Around 600 students from various schools, colleges, madrasas and maktabs participated in the competition.

The participants were divided into three age-based categories—Alif, Ba and Jeem. The students were given syllabi comprising 100, 200 and 300 questions respectively, covering subjects such as Aqeedah (faith), Ibadah (worship), Muamalat (social and financial dealings), social life, morality and etiquette, Seerah-e-Tayyaba and Islamic history.

Students Secure Positions in Different Categories

In the Jeem category, Shifa Parveen of Jamia Ummul Huda, Parsuni, secured first position. Nagma Khatoon of +2 High School, Pindarch, stood second, while Adeeba of Maahad Ummul Momineen Maimoona, Isaraha, secured third position. Abida stood fourth, while Sakina, Ruqaiya and Muntasir shared the fifth position with equal marks.

In the Ba category, Munzar Hayat of Upgraded High School, Kadamtol, secured first position, while Sifat Jabeen of Upgraded Middle School, Sardhawara, stood second. Yashfeen Khatoon of Maahad Ummul Momineen Maimoona, Isaraha, and Subiya Parveen of Maktab Tahfeezul Quran, Dani, jointly secured third position. Yasmeen, Samiya, Altamash, Asif and Musharraf stood fourth, while Aasiya, Shafiqa and Salik Khan jointly secured fifth position.

In the youngest Alif category, 23 out of 120 participants scored a perfect 50 out of 50 marks and received the first prize. They included Shazia Parveen, Maryam Ghazala, Khadija Parveen, Sofia, Arifa Khatoon, Wasitur Rahman, Saliha Rahman, Subiya Zafar, Rifa Fatima, Faiza Akhtar, Shifa Parveen, Ayesha Parveen, Zikra Parveen, Muhammad Aqib, Ahmad Iqbal, Muhammad Tufail, Sifatulllah, Muhammad Imran, Muhammad Dilshad, Muhammad Anees Alam, Muhammad Faheem Alam, Muhammad Rahmatullah and Tabdila Khatoon.

Aiza Parveen secured second position and Adnan Siddiqui stood third, while Mah Ammara and Falak secured fourth and fifth positions respectively. Several other students were also given encouragement and special prizes.

Organising Team Appreciated

A prize distribution ceremony for the successful participants was held on September 10 at the premises of Patriot Public School, Dani. The ceremony was presided over by chief guest Mufti Farooq Qasmi, Sheikh-ul-Hadith at Jamia Darul Ehsan, Bardoli, Gujarat.

In his presidential address, he appreciated the efforts of Mufti Muhammad Abdullah Nadwi, Advocate, and his team. He said that he had attended several programmes related to Islamic quizzes, but had rarely come across an event that was so distinctive, creative and informative.

The ceremony was jointly conducted by Mufti Muhammad Abdullah Nadwi, Advocate, and Maulana Zafar Ahmad Kaifi.

Focus on Seerah and Moral Education

Later the same day, after Maghrib prayers, the Jalsa-e-Paigham-e-Seerat was organised. The programme was presided over by Maulana Qari Hifzur Rahman, member of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board and Muhtamim of Darul Uloom Balasath.

The gathering was addressed by Mufti Aftab Alam Ghazi, Mufti Iftikhar Alam Qasmi, Maulana Kamaluddin Qasmi and Maulana Zafar Alam Kaifi. The speakers emphasised the need to pay greater attention to the religious and moral upbringing of children and said that the proper nurturing of the younger generation can lay the foundation for positive change in society.

The programme was conducted by Mufti Arif Qasmi and Mufti Abdullah Nadwi, Advocate. The event concluded with a prayer led by the presiding scholar.
