The Janata Dal (United) [JDU] has claimed that the number of members in its party family has surpassed 10 million (1 crore). The party described this achievement as a result of the support, trust, and continuous expansion of its organizational network across Bihar.
In a statement issued by the party, JDU said that its membership drive received widespread support throughout the state, with a large number of people joining the organization. According to the party, the growing membership reflects public confidence in its policies and leadership.
The statement further said that Janata Dal (United) is a political family where there is no place for discrimination or self-interest. The party reiterated its commitment to Bihar’s development, social harmony, and an inclusive approach that seeks to carry all sections of society together.
JDU credited the success of the membership campaign to the leadership of former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The party stated that its work in the areas of good governance, development, and social justice has encouraged a large number of people to associate with the organization. It also said that ordinary citizens are actively participating in the campaign to help realize the vision of a developed Bihar.
Notably, JDU had set a target of enrolling 10 million members during its membership drive. The party now claims that this target has been achieved and that efforts to further expand the organization will continue.
Political analysts believe that ahead of upcoming elections, JDU is presenting this membership figure as an indicator of its organizational strength and public support base. The party is currently focused on strengthening its structure down to the booth level and recruiting new workers and supporters.
However, independent verification of JDU’s claim of crossing the 10-million membership mark is not publicly available. Even so, from a political standpoint, the achievement is being viewed as a significant organizational milestone for the party.
