Shock in Patna After Daylight Murder: Nawab Alam Brutally Killed, Wife Critically Injured; ‘Questions Raised on Law and Order’, Imarat-e-Sharia Demands Strict Action

In a shocking incident that has shaken the Pirbahore police station area of Lalbagh locality in Patna, a man named Nawab Alam was brutally murdered at his residence around 7 AM on Friday. Unidentified assailants allegedly slit his throat, killing him on the spot. His wife was also critically injured in the attack and has been admitted to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), where her condition remains serious.

The incident has triggered widespread anger in the locality. Family members and villagers have been staging protests for several hours, placing the body on the road and demanding the immediate arrest of the accused. Protesters allege that police action has been slow even hours after the incident, leading to growing public resentment.

Expressing deep sorrow over the incident, Amir-e-Shariat Bihar, Odisha and Jharkhand, Maulana Ahmad Wali Faisal Rahmani said that it is essential to ensure the rule of law in the state. He stated that such a brutal killing in the state capital raises serious questions about law and order.

Meanwhile, Nazim-e-Imarat-e-Sharia, Maulana Mufti Mohammad Saeedur Rahman Qasmi, strongly reacted to the incident and demanded immediate arrest and strict punishment for the culprits. He also urged adequate compensation for the victim’s family.

A high-level delegation from Imarat-e-Sharia also visited the site, met the bereaved family, expressed condolences, and assessed the situation. The delegation appealed to the protesting people to maintain calm and assured them that their demands would be strongly conveyed to the administration.

The incident in a sensitive and capital city like Patna has become a major challenge for the administration. Locals have warned that the agitation will intensify if swift action is not taken.

Police are currently investigating the case and efforts are underway to trace the accused.
