Case of offering to “kill” the Prime Minister by emailing the CIA: Bihar Police arrests 22-year-old youth Aman Tiwari

A serious case has come to light from Bihar, where police have arrested a 22-year-old man on allegations that he sent an email to the United States’ intelligence agency CIA, offering to “eliminate” Prime Minister Narendra Modi in exchange for money.

The accused has been identified as Aman Tiwari, a resident of Ara village in Buxar district. According to The Print’s reporting, the email was sent in October 2025, in which the accused allegedly claimed that he could carry out the act within 22 days.

Conspiracy Uncovered Through Email Trail

As per The Print’s reporting, Bihar Police received confidential input regarding the matter, following which an immediate investigation was launched. After the allegations appeared serious, an FIR was registered under Simri police station limits.

Police stated that through technical surveillance and digital tracking, the accused was identified and subsequently arrested on Wednesday, April 8, when he was returning home after dropping his father at a temple.

Devices Seized, Room Sealed

According to The Print’s reporting, after the arrest, police conducted a search at the accused’s residence and seized his laptop and other electronic devices. His room has also been sealed as a precautionary measure.

All electronic devices have been sent for forensic examination to verify whether the email was indeed sent from the seized system.

Investigation Under Serious Charges

Police officials have stated that the case is linked to national security and is therefore extremely sensitive. The accused is being continuously interrogated, and investigators are also trying to determine whether he acted alone or had links with any network or individuals.

Digital Activity Under Scrutiny

Investigating agencies are now closely examining the accused’s online activity, email records, and social media presence. However, no evidence of any organised network has been established so far.

Probe Ongoing

Police have clarified that the investigation is being carried out from all possible angles, and it would be premature to draw any conclusions at this stage.
