Muzaffarpur: Kishan Kumar, along with his friend Pintu Kumar, murdered his girlfriend Zoya Praveen; police have arrested both.

The murder of an 18-year-old girl in the Sakra police station area of Muzaffarpur district of Bihar has sent shockwaves across the locality. The police arrested the accused within 48 hours and sent them to judicial custody.

Sequence of Events

The girl’s family reported her missing on March 30. Following a search, the police recovered her body from the Bejha Chauraha area. Initial investigations revealed that the victim, Zoya Praveen, had been called to a hotel by her boyfriend, Kishan Kumar (also known as Krishna).

A Story of Love and Fear

According to the police, Kishan and Zoya had been in a romantic relationship for nearly three years. Kishan, who works in tent services, took Zoya to the hotel that day. When Zoya’s family tried calling her, Kishan feared that she might reveal their relationship to her family, which could tarnish his reputation.

Method of Murder

Kishan called his friend Pintu Kumar, and together they planned the murder. The accused lured Zoya to an isolated location and strangled her to death. After the murder, they abandoned the body and fled.

Police Action

The police arrested both accused and registered a case under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. If found guilty, the accused may face life imprisonment or the death penalty.
