Bihar Board Class 10 Result 2026: Girls Dominate, Pushpanjali and Sabrin Create History

The wait has finally ended for lakhs of students in Bihar, as the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has officially announced the Class 10 (Matric) Examination Results 2026. This year’s results have been remarkable in many ways—not only was the overall pass percentage satisfactory, but girls clearly dominated the toppers’ list.

Girls Shine at the Top, Two Share First Rank

The biggest highlight this year is that two girls—Pushpanjali Kumari from Jamui and Sabrin Parveen from Vaishali—secured the first position jointly with 492 marks (98.4%). This achievement reflects not just individual excellence but also the changing educational landscape of Bihar, where girls are consistently reaching new heights.

Naahid Sultana from Begusarai secured the second position with 489 marks (97.8%). The third position was jointly held by Anupa Kumari from Buxar and Om Kumar from Begusarai, both scoring 488 marks (97.6%).

Wide Representation Across Districts

This year’s toppers list saw strong participation from multiple districts across Bihar. Several students shared the fourth and fifth ranks, indicating that quality education is no longer limited to major cities but is steadily reaching smaller towns and districts.

Girls Continue to Outperform

The data further reinforces this trend. A total of 81.79% students passed the examination, including 634,353 girls and 601,390 boys. The consistent better performance by girls continues a pattern observed over the past few years.

Results Declared in Record Time

Around 15.10 lakh students appeared for the examination this year. The exams were conducted from February 17 to February 25, and answer sheets were evaluated between March 2 and March 13. The results were declared within just 16 days after evaluation, showcasing the board’s efficiency and organized system.

Announcement via Press Conference

The results were announced in a press conference by Bihar’s Education Minister Sunil Kumar and BSEB Chairman Anand Kishor, where key details including toppers and pass percentages were shared.

Timely System Becomes a Hallmark

Interestingly, the results were again declared on March 29 this year, similar to last year. This consistency reflects the board’s growing commitment to maintaining a fixed academic schedule.

What Next for Students?

After matriculation, students now face important choices—selecting streams in intermediate education, or opting for polytechnic, ITI, or other vocational courses. Experts believe this is a crucial stage where the right decisions can shape future careers.

Overall, the result is not just about marks, but a reflection of a transforming Bihar—where hard work, opportunity, and progress are moving forward together.
