Gulf Conflict: Turkish President Erdoğan’s Stern Message “Stop the Iran War, Save the Entire Middle East from Fire,” Uphold Muslim Unity Beyond Sect and Identity, Appeal for Peace with Iraqi Kurds, and Maintain a Firm Stance on National Security

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has issued a clear warning amid escalating conflicts in the Middle East, emphasizing the importance of diplomacy and regional cooperation. Erdoğan stated that the ongoing war in Iran “could set the entire region on fire” and must be prevented.

He outlined his position on five key points: stopping the war, promoting Muslim unity beyond sect and identity, maintaining a firm stance on national security, offering support and cooperation during crises, and fostering peace and understanding with the Kurds in Iraq.

Call to Prevent War

Addressing the parliament, Erdoğan stressed that the war must be stopped before it escalates. He emphasized that Turkey is engaging all parties in dialogue to reduce regional tensions, saying, “This war must be prevented before it escalates and engulfs the entire region in flames.”

Experts warn that if the conflict continues, it could result in loss of life and property, disruptions in oil and global markets, and a serious crisis in regional stability.

Message of Faith and Unity

Erdoğan underscored that Turkey and its leadership “are not Turks, Arabs, or Kurds; we are all Muslims.” He rejected identities such as Sunni and Shia, appealing to all communities to embrace a shared religious identity. The aim of this message is to promote inter-community harmony and reduce divisions.

Firm Stance on National Security

Erdoğan warned, “No external pressure or challenge will be tolerated. Whoever reaches out against Turkey or speaks against it will face consequences!” This statement reflects Turkey’s firm approach to security policy and a strict stance in foreign affairs.

Support and Active Role During Crises

Erdoğan said that Turkey will support friendly countries and partners during times of crisis. The country will play a responsible role in maintaining regional stability, whether through diplomacy, humanitarian assistance, or political support.

Appeal for Peace to Iraqi Kurds

Erdoğan expressed hope that the Iraqi Kurdish people will act wisely and not become involved in any fraternal conflict. He clarified that Turkey aims to maintain peaceful and stable relations with the Kurdish community.

Experts note that amid recent regional tensions, some Kurdish groups circulated rumors of unilateral actions, but most administrations have been handling the situation cautiously.

Erdoğan’s statements make it clear that Turkey supports diplomacy over war, seeks unity beyond sect and identity, will not compromise on national security, stands by friendly countries in crises, and intends to maintain peaceful relations with the Iraqi Kurdish community.

Through these declarations, Turkey has sent a strong message to the world about its regional leadership, diplomacy-first approach, and commitment to security balance.
