A New Opportunity for Journalism Studies in Muzaffarpur, Admissions Open for BJMC at Shri Parshuram Institute

A new academic opportunity has emerged in Muzaffarpur for students aspiring to build a career in journalism and media. The reputed Shri Parshuram Institute of Higher Education, located at Kalambag Chowk in the city, has announced the commencement of admissions to its Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication (BAJMC) programme. The institute is affiliated with Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic and Farsi University, Patna.

The three-year undergraduate programme is designed to provide students with both theoretical knowledge and practical training in print media, digital media, radio, television, and social media. The curriculum includes important subjects such as media ethics, media laws, development communication, and media research, aimed at building a strong academic and professional foundation.

According to the institute’s management, students will undergo a mandatory one-month internship after the fourth semester, enabling them to gain hands-on experience in professional media organisations. In the final year, students will also be required to work on a media research project.

In addition, the programme offers specialised training in election campaigns, political management, and social media strategy, making it highly relevant to the contemporary media landscape.

Upon completion of the BJMC course, students can pursue careers as journalists, content writers, digital media professionals, TV or radio correspondents, social media managers, public relations officers, and election campaign managers. The programme also opens avenues for higher education and research.
