Samriddhi Yatra in Chapra: Nitish Kumar Claims Bihar is Rapidly Developing in All Sectors, Will Provide Jobs to One Crore Unemployed in Next Five Years; District Receives Over ₹540 Crore Worth 69 Development Projects

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, during his “Samriddhi Yatra” on Wednesday, visited Saran district and unveiled a slew of development initiatives. During the visit, he laid the foundation for 45 new projects and inaugurated 24 completed schemes, with a combined investment exceeding ₹540 crore.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that since his government came to power, development activities across all sectors have been progressing steadily. “As a result, Bihar is witnessing rapid growth in every field,” he stated. He further announced that over the next five years, the government aims to provide employment to one crore unemployed youths.

Nitish Kumar emphasized that education and healthcare remain the government’s top priorities. He noted that new schools, colleges, and hospitals are being opened continuously, ensuring facilities for students from education to employment. He also highlighted initiatives to empower women, including providing employment under schemes like Jeevika.

Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, in his address, stated that all closed sugar mills in Bihar would be reopened. Large-scale industrial projects are being established to provide local employment opportunities for youth. He also announced plans to construct an airport in Chapra, which would enhance connectivity in Saran and neighboring districts, boosting trade and tourism.

During the event, the Chief Minister inspected the Chapra Sadar office, Jeevika Sewing Center, Women’s ITI, and the newly built bus stand. Interacting with the public, he conveyed the message that Bihar is rapidly progressing on the path of development and aims to join the ranks of the country’s most developed states in the coming years.

The event was also attended by Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary and Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary.
