Jharkhand:SDPI Delegation Meets Family of Mob Lynching Victim Pappu Ansari, Demands Compensation, Job, and Fast-Track Trial

A high-level delegation of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) met with the family of Pappu Ansari, who was killed in a shocking mob lynching incident in Godda district, Jharkhand. The delegation was led by Mohammad Hanzela Sheikh, SDPI’s Jharkhand state president and district council member. During the meeting, party leaders offered condolences to the bereaved family and assured full support in their quest for justice.

The SDPI leaders gathered detailed information about the incident and strongly condemned the brutal and inhumane act. The delegation assured the family that the party would stand firmly with them throughout the legal proceedings.

Speaking to the media, Mohammad Hanzela Sheikh said that rising hatred in society and the failure of law enforcement were leading to repeated incidents of mob lynching. He emphasized that such acts pose a serious threat to both democracy and the Constitution, and cannot be tolerated under any circumstances.

Following the meeting, the SDPI delegation presented three key demands to the state government. The party called for the immediate arrest of all perpetrators, a fast-track court trial to ensure strict punishment, financial compensation of one crore rupees for the family, and a government job for one family member based on their qualifications.

The SDPI leadership warned that if the government failed to take prompt action on these demands and did not punish the culprits, the party would be forced to launch a large-scale democratic movement across the state.

The delegation included State General Secretary (Organization) Shamim Akhtar, SWC members Umar Farooq and Hafiz Salam, Advocate Abdul Hannan, SWC member and Godda district in-charge Shakir Qasmi, Godda district general secretary Mohammad Imtiaz, along with several other party officials and local activists.
