Bihar Police Driver Constable Recruitment Exam Result Declared, 15,516 Candidates Shortlisted for PET

The written examination result for the ongoing recruitment process for 4,361 Driver Constable posts in the Bihar Police and Bihar Special Armed Police has been declared. The Central Selection Board (Constable Recruitment) on Tuesday issued an official press release and published the list of candidates shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

According to the Board, the recruitment process was initiated in July 2025 under Advertisement No. 02/2025. A total of 1,64,168 dedicated and valid online applications were received for the Driver Constable recruitment, making it one of the major recruitment drives in the state.

As per the advertisement, the written examination for Driver Constable recruitment was conducted on December 10, 2025, in which 1,16,534 candidates appeared. During the examination, 18 candidates were found ineligible for evaluation due to malpractice, registration of FIRs, or incorrect marking of roll numbers or question booklet details. The answer sheets of the remaining candidates were duly evaluated.

After completion of the evaluation process, category-wise selection was carried out for the second stage, namely the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). According to the list published on the Board’s official website on December 30, 2025, a total of 15,516 candidates have been declared eligible for PET.

Among the shortlisted candidates, 15,054 are men, 461 are women, and one candidate belongs to the transgender category. In addition, under the state government’s reservation policy, 86 Gorkha candidates and 101 dependents of freedom fighters have also been selected for PET.

The Central Selection Board has informed that the Physical Efficiency Test for the shortlisted 15,516 candidates is likely to be conducted from March 2026. Detailed information regarding the PET schedule, dates, and examination venues will be published separately on the Board’s official website, https://csbc.bihar.gov.in.

The Board has also advised candidates to remain alert against cyber fraud, clearly stating that communication with candidates will be made only through information published on the official website. No personal phone calls, messages, or emails will be sent by the Board. If anyone contacts candidates by phone while claiming to be a Board representative, candidates have been urged to immediately inform the nearest police station or cyber crime police station.

Reiterating its commitment, the Board stated that the recruitment process is completely clean, transparent, and free from malpractice, and that candidates are selected solely on the basis of merit and performance in the examination.
