Bihar to Witness Massive Government Job Boom from December 2025 to March 2026; Lakhs of Vacancies Across Education, Police and Forest Departments

There is encouraging news for unemployed youth in Bihar. The state is set to witness large-scale government recruitments across various departments between December 2025 and March 2026. Appointment processes will be initiated for lakhs of posts in sectors including education, health, police, forest services, and technical departments. The state government is preparing to release a Mega Vacancy Calendar in January 2026, which will provide a clear roadmap for upcoming recruitments.

The Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC) has already begun the recruitment process for 1,907 posts for the year 2025. These include positions such as Hostel Manager, Dental Hygienist, Work Inspector, and other technical roles. According to the commission, the application process for these posts is currently underway.

The Education Department is also gearing up for large-scale appointments. Under TRE 4.0, the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is expected to recruit over 27,000 teachers. The advertisement for this recruitment is likely to be issued in January 2026 and is being described as one of the largest teacher recruitment drives in the state’s history.

Meanwhile, the Bihar Police and Home Guard departments have announced recruitment for more than 20,000 posts. Official sources indicate that the notification for these vacancies may be released between January and February 2026. This recruitment drive is expected to significantly strengthen law and order in the state.

The Bihar Forest Department has also accelerated its recruitment preparations. The department plans to fill 2,856 posts, including Forest Guards and Drivers, and departmental-level procedures have already been initiated.

In addition, the Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) is set to bring a mega recruitment drive for over 12,000 posts, including Clerks, Junior Engineers, Assistant Engineers, and other positions.

According to the state government, the Mega Vacancy Calendar to be released in January 2026 will clearly outline the timelines for all upcoming recruitments. Experts believe that the next three months could witness one of the largest government recruitment drives in Bihar’s history.
