Launch of Alif Foundation — MANUU Alumni from Banka, Bhagalpur and Godda Celebrate Azad Day; Higher Education Awareness Mission Gets New Direction — Muhammad Rehan Elected President

The alumni of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) from Banka, Bhagalpur and Godda districts jointly organized a successful Azad Day event with the aim of bringing former students together on a common platform, strengthening the university’s educational vision in the region, and motivating students to pursue higher education.

The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Muhammad Firoz. This was followed by an extensive discussion by special guests, invited dignitaries and alumni members on how students from the region can secure greater admissions to MANUU as well as other prestigious institutions of higher education across India.

On this occasion, the Alif (Azad Learning & Impact Foundation) was officially launched. The foundation aims to enhance awareness about higher education, provide better access to academic opportunities, and offer guidance in admission processes.

Mohammad Rehan was unanimously elected as the first President of the Foundation. The event was also anchored by him. Among the speakers were Muhammad Sohrab, Aslam Azad, Imtiyaz Sahab, and Jamshed Rahmani, along with other alumni, who highlighted Maulana Abul Kalam Azad’s inclusive educational vision and the decisive role of education in social empowerment.

The program was presided over by Asif Iqbal! The alumni announced that every year during the admission season, Alif Foundation will conduct initiatives such as career counseling, form submission assistance, admission guidance and collaboration with local educational institutions to encourage students toward higher studies.

The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks presented by Muhammad Mukit. The program, firmly rooted in the educational philosophy of Maulana Azad, ended on a successful note—giving new momentum to the mission of promoting higher education in the region.

According to the alumni organizers, this is not just an event, but the beginning of a long and historic campaign for education in the region.
