BPSC 71st Combined Prelims: 14,261 Candidates Qualify, Mains Exam Date to Be Announced Soon

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced the results of the 71st Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination. A total of 14,261 candidates have been declared successful for the Main examination. Among them, 13,368 candidates qualified through the General exam, while 893 candidates cleared the exam for the post of Financial Administrative Officer (FAO).

Over 4.7 lakh candidates had appeared for the examination this year. Across the state’s 37 districts, 912 exam centres were set up. In the state capital, Patna, about 50,244 candidates appeared across 70 centres. Strict security arrangements, including CCTV surveillance and police deployment, were in place at all centres.

The Commission stated that the Mains exam date and guidelines will be released soon. Candidates can check and download their results in PDF format from the official BPSC website: bpsc.bihar.gov.in.

This recruitment process will fill a total of 1,298 vacancies. BPSC emphasized that the examination was conducted in a fair and transparent environment, with the cut-off marks for the general category around 88.

Candidates reported that the paper level was moderate, with questions primarily based on current affairs. Authorities ensured strict monitoring and real-time supervision at all exam centres.
