A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in the Karja police station area of Muzaffarpur district, Bihar, where a 12-year-old minor Dalit girl, returning after attending a Durga Puja fair, was gang-raped. The condition of the Class VI student remains serious, and she has been admitted to Muzaffarpur Medical College for treatment.
According to the victim’s father, his daughter had gone to see the Durga Puja fair with her friends. While she was returning, four youths on motorcycles allegedly abducted her and carried out the heinous crime in an orchard. The victim’s friends ran home and informed the family about the incident, after which the relatives rushed to the orchard.
The father stated, “When we arrived, my daughter was lying unconscious. She was immediately taken to Karja PHC, but due to her critical condition, she was referred to Muzaffarpur Medical College, where she is currently undergoing treatment.”
Two Accused Arrested, Search for Others Underway
Upon receiving information about the incident, there was a stir in the police department. Rural SP Rajesh Kumar Prabhakar stated that based on the statements of the victim and her family, the police took prompt action and arrested two accused. They are currently being interrogated.
The SP further added that the other accused have been absconding since the incident, and raids are being continuously conducted to apprehend them. The police are thoroughly investigating the entire matter. The heinous crime has created a sensation in the area, and locals are in shock. Further legal action in the case is ongoing.
