Tensions in the Middle East appear to be reaching a dangerous turning point as the joint military campaign by the United States and Israel against Iran intensifies. U.S. military command has claimed that nearly 5,000 military and strategic targets across Iran have been struck so far.

Continuous reports of airstrikes and explosions are emerging from several Iranian cities, including the capital Tehran. According to local media and eyewitness accounts, powerful explosions were heard across multiple neighborhoods in Tehran on Monday night. The blasts reportedly triggered fires in several locations and disrupted electricity supply in parts of the city.

Destruction in Resalat District, Injured Pulled from Rubble

Video footage released by Iran’s relief agency, the Red Crescent, shows extensive destruction in Tehran’s Resalat district. Rescue workers can be seen searching through the debris of damaged homes and pulling out injured residents from the rubble. Kerman Airport Hit

Local media reports indicate that Kerman Airport in southern Iran was also damaged during the strikes. A section of the airport and a nearby fuel depot were reportedly targeted, with some aircraft parked at the facility believed to have been damaged.

The Israeli military stated that its operations are aimed at Iran’s military airfields, runways, and defense systems, with the goal of weakening the country’s air and missile capabilities.

Blue Flashes Seen Over Tehran

Several videos circulating on social media show blue flashes in the skies over Tehran during the attacks. Reports suggest that the phenomenon may have been caused by missile strikes hitting electrical or energy infrastructure, which led to power disruptions in several areas.

Over 1,200 Feared Dead

According to international reports, more than 1,200 people are feared dead in Iran as a result of the ongoing conflict, while thousands are believed to have been injured. Residential areas and key infrastructure in multiple cities have reportedly suffered extensive damage.

U.S. Says Operation Aims to Weaken Iran’s Military Capability

U.S. officials say the campaign is targeting missile bases, military installations, command centers, and naval facilities in order to degrade Iran’s military capabilities.

Meanwhile, Iran has launched retaliatory missile and drone strikes targeting Israel and U.S. bases in the region. As tensions escalate, several Middle Eastern countries have issued heightened security alerts.

Experts warn that if the situation continues to deteriorate, the confrontation could escalate into a wider regional war.
