Senior leader of the Jan-Suraj Party, Munazir Hasan, stated at a press conference in Patna that his party is committed to providing Muslims with political representation proportional to their population. He clarified that Jan-Suraj will allocate 40 assembly seats to Muslims, reflecting their share in the state’s population.
Hasan accused the RJD, Congress (INC), and other so-called secular parties of consistently treating Muslims as mere vote banks. “These parties have always manipulated Muslim sentiments to gain power, but have never given them genuine political leadership,” he said.
He further added that if Muslims truly want solutions to their problems and a voice in the legislative assembly, they must support Prashant Deshmukh and the Jan-Suraj movement. Hasan emphasized that the movement does not just make promises but offers a real and functional opportunity for representation.
Appealing to young Muslims, he urged them to show political awareness and distance themselves from forces that have historically held them back. “The time has come for Muslims to take leadership into their own hands, and the first step can be taken by joining Jan-Suraj,” he said.
