MANUU Alumni Fraternity-Bihar Established! Saifur Rahman Azad Elected First Convener, Sabnawaz Ahmad Azad First President, Executive Council Announced

The former students of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) have officially announced the formation of their organization in Bihar, named the “MANUU Alumni Fraternity-Bihar”. On this occasion, following the constitution of the organization’s Advisory Council, the first Executive Council was also elected.
In the newly constituted Executive Council of the organization, Saifur Rahman Azad was chosen as the first Convener and Sabnawaz Ahmad Azad was elected as the first President. The organization jointly elected two General Secretaries, which include Arshad Alam Azad and Mohammad Faizan Azad.
Raunaq Parveen Azad, Iftekhar Alam Azad, and Mohammad Adil Azad have been elected as the three Vice Presidents.

The organization has also appointed five Secretaries and five Joint Secretaries: The Secretaries are Mohammad Ali Hasan Raza Azad, Shams Tabrez Azad, Izhar Ahmad Azad, Khuddam Hussain Azad, Rizaullah Azad, while the Joint Secretaries are Mahim Qamar Azad, Farooque Azam Azad, Sony Parveen Azad, Ammar Azam Azad, Azmat Reza Azad.

For the responsibility of financial affairs, Naqeeb Akbar Azad and Jisarat Ali Azad have been elected as the Treasurers.

In their first joint statement after the election, Convener Saifur Rahman Azad and President Sabnawaz Ahmad Azad said “Maulana Azad National Urdu University is not just an educational institution, but an educational movement for the marginalized sections and the Urdu-speaking population of the country. It is the responsibility of all of us alumni to continue this movement and establish it on strong foundations. With a clear vision and an organized plan, we will unite all alumni in Bihar to strengthen educational awareness, organizational activities, and social contribution.”
On this occasion, General Secretaries Mohammad Faizan Azad and Arshad Alam Azad said, “Today, graduates (alumni) of MANUU are providing distinguished services in various fields of the country. A sense of service towards the country and the community exists within all these students, who are spread under the name of the ‘Azad Fraternity’. Now that the foundation of the organization has been laid, we will play an active role in resolving MANUU’s issues, helping current students, connecting alumni to the network, and strengthening the educational movement.”

Vice Presidents Raunaq Parveen Azad, Iftekhar Alam Azad, and Mohammad Adil Azad emphasized the ideologies of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad and said, “Today the country needs harmony, knowledge, justice, and intellectual freedom. The ideas and services of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad are the shared heritage of this country. We will carry these thoughts like a lamp of light to the country, society, and educational circles, and play our part in the journey of national harmony and intellectual development.”

The Executive Council was elected by the 15-member Advisory Committee through extensive consultation, review of names, and voting. In this process, particularly Dr. Mobashshir Jamal Azad, Mohammad Nematullah Azad, Shahab Alam Azad, Khairul Bashar Azad, Abu Hamza Azad, Mustafiz Sharique Azad, Aquib Nazar Azad, Imran Ahmad Azad, and Faizan Iqbal Azad played an active role.

In the next phase, the organization will include six more members in the Executive Council and will then formally commence organizational activities by forming Zonal and District Committees.
