Bihar Elections 2025: NDA’s Seat-Sharing Process Accelerates, Dharmendra Pradhan and Nitish Kumar Meeting Sparks Political Buzz

Insaaf Times Desk

Amid preparations for the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, political activity within the ruling NDA alliance has intensified over seat-sharing. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has announced that the seat-sharing arrangement will be unveiled after Navratri, while Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has recently been appointed as the NDA’s Bihar election in-charge.

Following his appointment, Dharmendra Pradhan met Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and JD(U) National Executive President Sanjay Jha. Pradhan described the meeting as a “pleasant interaction” in a tweet, stating, “Today in Patna, I had a pleasant meeting with Chief Minister @NitishKumar, Deputy Chief Minister @samrat4bjp, and JD(U) Executive President @SanjayJhaBihar.”

Following this meeting, discussions on seat allocation within the NDA have intensified. Sources indicate that BJP and JD(U) are likely to agree on 101–102 seats, while smaller ally parties may get 10–20 seats.

However, the final decision on seat-sharing will be taken after the Election Commission announces the poll dates. This delay has reportedly caused unrest among the smaller alliance partners.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah continue to tour Bihar. Shah recently met BJP workers in Patna and Araria and set a target for the NDA to win more than 160 seats.

On the opposition side, the Grand Alliance has also begun its seat-sharing process. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) claims that seat allocation will be finalized within the next ten days, and Tejashwi Yadav will be declared as the Chief Ministerial candidate.

Once the Election Commission announces the poll dates, the final seat-sharing decision will be made, which is expected to shape the political landscape of Bihar.
