Bihar Board Releases 2026 Annual Exam Calendar, Dates for Intermediate and Matric Exams Announced

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has released the annual exam calendar for 2026, covering all major examinations. The calendar includes dates for the Intermediate and Matric annual exams, D.El.Ed joint entrance exams, D.El.Ed first and second-year exams, Industrial Training Higher Secondary Level exams (Hindi and English), and Simultala Residential School entrance exams, among other important assessments.

BSEB Chairman Anand Kishore stated that the calendar has been issued to ensure convenience for students and to maintain transparency in exam management. He emphasized that no irregularities will be allowed during the conduct of examinations, and results will be published on time.

Last Date for Matric and Intermediate Form Submission Extended to December 3

Chairman Anand Kishore further announced that the last date for submitting forms for the Matric and Intermediate annual exams 2026 has been extended to December 3. So far, 15,02,021 students have submitted forms for the Matric exams, while 13,07,241 students have filled the Intermediate exam forms. The portal for form submission reopened on November 29, giving students a final opportunity to register.

Intermediate Annual Exam: February 2, 2026, to February 13, 2026; conducted in two shifts — 9:30 AM and 2:00 PM

Matric Annual Exam: February 17, 2026, to February 25, 2026; conducted in two shifts

February 2026: Intermediate Exams (Feb 2‑13), Matric Exams (Feb 17‑25), Class 6 Admission Process under RTE (from Feb 22), Verification of D.El.Ed Joint Entrance Exam Applications (by Feb 22)

March 2026: D.El.Ed Admission Applications and Seat Allotment, Evaluation of Intermediate and Matric Answer Sheets begins

April‑May 2026: Industrial Training Language Exam (Apr 29‑30), D.El.Ed First-Year Exams and Results, Simultala Residential School Class 11 Entrance Exam Applications (May 15‑25)

June‑July 2026: Class 11 Entrance Exam (June 8), Results (June 15‑17), D.El.Ed Exams and Results by end of July

Chairman Anand Kishore highlighted that issuing the calendar well in advance provides students sufficient time to plan their preparation. Early knowledge of exam dates allows better preparation strategies, and schools, colleges, and training institutions can organize internal schedules efficiently. Furthermore, the evaluation and result process will remain transparent.

“Timely and structured conduct of exams ensures the security of students’ future, and that is our primary objective,” Anand Kishore added.
