SDPI National President M K Faizy Strongly Condemns US Minuteman III Nuclear Missile Test, Warns of Serious Threat to Global Stability and International Security

M K Faizy, National President of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), has strongly condemned the United States’ recent test of the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile. Rejecting Washington’s claim that it was merely a “routine exercise,” Faizy described the test as a demonstration of a weapon far more destructive than the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima.

Faizy warned that with West Asia already engulfed in conflict, this missile test sends an extremely alarming message to the international community. “Instead of promoting restraint and diplomacy, this test reflects a dangerous trend of normalizing nuclear fear in global politics,” he said. He also expressed serious concern over the direction of international security under President Donald Trump’s leadership.

Recalling the history of U.S. interventions, Faizy cited Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, and Vietnam as examples where the pursuit of military supremacy repeatedly undermined national sovereignty and endangered civilians. Referencing the 1945 atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, he noted that over 200,000 people were killed, and generations have continued to suffer from radiation-related health issues.

Faizy stated that the current missile test serves as a grim reminder of this destructive past while heightening the gravity of contemporary wars and humanitarian crises. He pointed to escalating violence in Gaza and rising hostilities involving Iran, warning that these developments further exacerbate regional instability and human suffering.

Appealing to the Indian government, Faizy urged it to uphold its historic principles of peace and non-alignment by taking a clear stance on international platforms, advocating ceasefires and dialogue, and actively working with global partners to prevent any large-scale conflict.
