The Bihar government has taken a major step to promote self-employment among the state’s youth by opening the application process for the 2025–26 session under the Chief Minister Udyami Yojana.

Under the scheme, eligible applicants will receive financial assistance of up to ₹10 lakh to start their own industry or business. The package also includes a subsidy component as per government norms.

According to officials from the state Industries Department, the objective of the scheme is to make unemployed youth self-reliant and to boost micro and small-scale industries across Bihar. The government believes the initiative will not only generate new employment opportunities but also accelerate economic activity at the local level.

As per the approved project cost, beneficiaries can avail financial support of up to ₹10 lakh. A portion of the amount will be provided as a government subsidy, while the remaining sum can be repaid in easy installments. Selected candidates will also receive training related to business operations.

Applicants are required to submit Aadhaar card, domicile certificate, caste certificate, matriculation and intermediate certificates, a scanned copy of their signature, an active mobile number, and an email ID.

Officials have clarified that applications will be accepted only through the online portal. Registration must be completed within the stipulated deadline. After submission, documents will be verified and the selection process will be carried out, following which approved beneficiaries will receive the sanctioned amount.
