Women India Movement (WIM) Elected It’s New National Committee, Yasmeen From Bengal Elected As National President

The National General Council of the Women India Movement (WIM) was held on 22nd May 2022 in Bangalore wherein delegates and representatives from various states were present. The council discussed the socio-economic situation of the country and passed several resolutions. The meeting strongly emphasised that the WIM need to intensify its struggle against anti-people policies of the regime and against the challenges facing by the women in the country. The council elected its new national committee for the term 2022 – 25 as furnished below:National President : Yasmin IslamVice Presidents : Raihanath K. Lakshmi Raja, Adv. Saffiya, Adv. Simi Jacob, Athiya Firdous, Mehrunnisa Khan, Farida Gazdar, Runa Laila, Ayesha Khanum, Noorjahan and Mehrunnisa Modak The newly elected National President Yasmin Islam asserted in here concluding speech that WIM be strengthened throughout the country to create awareness among the women about their socio political rights and to organize them to strive against all injustices on women and their households.
